Project Engineer

Overview:

Initiate and support all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. Schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

Principle Accountabilities:

Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
Interact daily with other departments to interpret their needs and requirements
Perform overall quality control of work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Engineering,
Ability to use CAD, Windows, Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.
Broad understanding of process development engineering practices, principles, procedures, processes, etc. preferred
Prior experience working with Kaizen or Continuous Improvement work teams
Build employee effectiveness
Foster open communication and champion change

Working Conditions:

Work area is normally heat/ air-conditioned in an office-type environment, with some time spent in a shop floor environment. Hard-hat, safety glasses, earplugs, steel-toed boots are required on production floor.
