Finish/Final Associate

FINISH:

The Finish department ensures the counter-weights have a smooth finish and reduce any imperfections on the counter-weight surface.  Each operator sets up and operates hand held equipment for grinding and spraying.  Putty is used to fill in imperfections of the mold.  The associate also files and polishes the parts to obtain a smooth finish.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work area is not air-conditioned and temperatures sometimes exceed 120 degree’s in some departments with noise in the production area.  Hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots and face shields is required based upon the work station.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear.  The associate frequently is required to use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.  Individual working in Finish are required to wear a respirator and therefore must past the Pulmonary Fitness Test.  All associate s are required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.  Specific vision capabilities are required which include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
